Ever since the Independence when Sindhis were displaced because of Partition and had to migrate to India (from Sindh, which went to Pakistan) almost empty-handed, Sindhis have contributed to the development of India immensely.

1. Hiranandani

If you are living in Mumbai, Hiranandani is the biggest name in the Construction field. They have developed Powai from a Barren Hill to an ultra Luxurious Residential as well as a commercial center.

Some people say that they manipulated the Government for Powai Land because the Powai Land was provided by the Government for Low-Cost Housing Projects and not for Luxury Apartments. But this is a typical Sindhi Mind at work. They got the policy changed in their favor. And the rest is History. They also maintain L. H. Hiranandani Hospitals, which are world-class hospitals trusted by most celebrities.

2. Rahejas

Raheja Family is a well-known name all over the world for their contribution to the Construction Industry. Raheja Group was Founded in 1956 by Chandru Raheja, while K Raheja Corp was born after the Raheja brothers separated. K Raheja Group entered the Construction Industry and became one of the most successful and respected companies. They are involved in the Residential, Commercial, Hospitality, and Retail sectors. Mindspace is a commercial Brand created by the K. Raheja Group. Mindspace provides commercial offices to corporates as well as startups. They are spread across various cities across India. 3. LK Advani (Former Deputy Prime Minister of India)

If it was not for the current PM Modiji, Shri L.K. Advani would have become the Prime Minister in 2014. He is the most famous Sindhi Politician in India. He guided the Ram Rath Yatra to Ayodhya when the Babri Masjid was demolished.

He even faced Legal cases for the same. But, he handled it all with grace and was acquitted of all charges. Obviously, Sindhis are a Peaceful Community.

He may never become PM now due to his age but he will remain an important figure in Indian politics and will be an important part when history is written.

4. Ram Jethmalani (Former Law Minister of India)

Every Indian knows that the most respected Lawyer in the Country is Mr. Ram Jethmalani. He was a strong supporter of the BJP but later had a fallout. He was made the Law Minister during NDA1. He also served as the chairman of the Indian Bar Council, and also as the president of the Supreme Court Bar Association.

Ram Jethmalani was born on 14 September 1923 in Pakistan. He received his LL.B. degree in his hometown, Shikarpur, Pakistan at the age of 17. He started practicing law before the partition of India. After the partition, he arrived as a refugee in Mumbai and gave his legal career a fresh start. He practiced for a long time and retired judicial profession in the year 2017.

This was a typical Sindhi mind at work. He acted as a defense lawyer in various high-profile cases like Harshad Mehta, Haji Mastan, 2G Case for Kanimozhi, Asharam Bapu, Lalu Yadav, Jayalalitha, and more. He will always be remembered for his contribution to the Legal field.

5 . Mahesh Jethmalani (Criminal lawyer)

Just like his father Ram Jethmalani, Mr. Mahesh Jethmalani is a respected name in the Judiciary. He is a nominated Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha.

Mr. Mahesh Jethmalani represented Chief Minister Narendra Modi in the Gujarat Riot Cases at the Supreme Court of India. He also appeared as the defense layer for the current Home Minister, Amit Shah in the Sohrabuddin Murder Case in the Gujarat High Court and the Supreme Court of India. He also appeared for the bail plea of Sanjay Dutt. He also fought for the former Police Commissioner of Mumbai, Param Bir Singh against the Maha Vikas Aghadi government in a very high-profile case.
